Bend Yoga

Bend Yoga is a yoga studio located on the Downtown Mall that focuses on supporting women during their child-bearing years. Bend offers classes for mothers from 12 weeks pregnant through the pre-crawling period after their baby is born. Bend also offers non-competitive and stress-free classes for children 6 weeks to 18 years of age. Their mission is to “empower the body, mind and spirit with breath, strength, and energy during the transitions that define women’s lives.” For anyone with a Festy wristband that has also never taken a Bend class, swing by the studio for a $5 drop-in class to ease your mind and body.

Posture Studio

Posture Studio understands how tiresome daily tasks can be for the human body, and therefore they focus on functional-based training. The classes offered at Posture Studio aim to strengthen our bodies for what they do daily. In addition to this, Posture Studio’s instructors take an individualized approach in their classes. That means that you will never hear general directions for the entire class; instead your instructor will speak directly to you in order to help you personally get the best out of your session. Flydog Yoga

FlyDog Yoga is a yoga studio that places a heavy focus on community and happiness. After Charlottesville was recently named the happiest city in America, FlyDog Yoga  made it their goal to help the Charlottesville community become even happier. FlyDog offers a variety of practices that are designed to open the heart and improve well-being through a combination of exercise and relaxation. The main style of yoga taught at FlyDog is Power Vinyasa Yoga, which is a form of yoga that promotes fluid movement from one pose to the next alongside synchronized breathing. Pure Barre

Pure Barre is a local studio that offers a collection of 45-50 minute total body workouts. Pure Barre focuses on low-impact, high-intensity exercises that strengthen and tone your body. The goal for Pure Barre is to help every participant get stronger with each class. So even if you are a complete newbie, you will become a pro in no time. Tru Pilates

Since 2005 Tru Pilates has offered customized workouts for individuals or small groups, led by highly qualified instructors. Hot Yoga Charlottesville now has two locations around Charlottesville, one downtown and a new one in northern Albemarle County. Hot Yoga specializes in active yoga classes in their cutting-edge, 1,700 square foot hot room where the heating system pumps in fresh air from outside, filters it, heats it, and humidifies it before dumping it into the studio. A whole-room humidifier keeps the humidity level between 35%-41% so that you are guaranteed to come out of a class feeling rejuvenated. We’ve partnered with Hot Yoga Charlottesville to offer Festy attendees who have never attended a class there before to stop by for a $10 drop-in class during the festival weekend.

Opal Yoga

Opal Yoga is “a Vinyasa Yoga studio that’s sweaty, soulful, and includes beats.” Opal Yoga is located in the IX Building within the IX Art Park, and offers a variety of classes every day of the week. Opal Yoga is accepting of all levels of yoga experience; there is no need to be a pro or even to have been to a class before. This studio focuses on health and mental well-being, while being enjoyable for everyone. Go take a class in order to feel energized before The Festy daily festivities begin.

Insight Meditation Community of Charlottesville

Insight Meditation Community of Charlottesville (IMCC) is a spiritual community that practices Buddhist insight meditation. IMCC is open to everyone who is interested in insight meditation and offers a variety of programs for new and experienced meditators. These programs consist of guided meditation, dharma talks, retreats, talk radio, and much more. Anyone and everyone interested in trying meditation for the first time is welcome to join IMCC to see what insight meditation is all about.

Brazos Tacos

Brazos Tacos is located right on the festival grounds in the IX Art Park, and offers Texas-style tacos for breakfast, lunch, brunch, and early dinner. Brazos offers outdoor seating with a nice thematic aesthetic and caters private events. Order online, call it in, or just stop by the restaurant to enjoy some unique, authentic Texas-style tacos. Since it is so close, be sure to grab a bite to eat in between sets.

Maru

Maru is a funky, authentic Korean restaurant that began in 2018. Maru offers Korean fried chicken wings, lunch specials, Korean specialty drinks, and desserts. Maru is located right on the downtown walking mall and offers a hip atmosphere that is casual and enjoyable. Whether you love Korean food or have never tried it, Maru is the spot for you. Sticks Kebob Shop

Sticks Kebob Shop is a local Mediterranean-style restaurant that believes that everything tastes better on a stick (except for their hummus). The owners of Sticks are three “refugees from the world of fine dining” that broke away from that world in order to create a healthy, yet tasty, alternative for real foodies. Sticks is a good option for a business lunch, a take-home dinner, or even a catered meal for an event. Sticks offers fast service without compromising the quality. Chimm

CHIMM is located at Charlottesville’s new 5th Street Station and offers authentic Thai and Southeast Asian food. In order to maintain the culture back in Thailand, CHIMM does not offer courses but instead they bring the food out as soon as it is ready in order to ensure freshness. CHIMM also serves their food family-style by bringing plates that the entire table can share as the food comes out. At CHIMM they do this both to maintain authenticity, but also to make sure that you feel like you are part of the family. Extreme Pizza

Extreme Pizza is located in Charlottesville at 5th Street Station, and their business philosophy is “Dedication to Quality, Commitment to Innovation.” Extreme Pizza abides by a strict policy to only use the freshest of ingredients while pushing the limits with their unheard-of combinations of toppings. One of their pizzas combine mandarin oranges with canadian bacon (Paia Pie), while another one replaces tomato sauce with homemade hummus. These are wildly good pizzas created by wildly adventurous people who “learned to always color outside the lines.” Plus, during the festival weekend, your wristband will score you 15% off your order. Mochiko C’ville

Mochiko Cville is the brainchild of chef and owner Riki Tanabe, and is located in The Yard at 5th Street Station. Riki was born and raised on the island of O’ahu, Hawaii and also attended college at the University of Hawaii. He never planned on leaving Hawaii, but his culinary career path eventually landed him in Charlottesville. So in 2017 Riki decided to open Mochiko in order to bring the food of Hawaii to the people of Charlottesville. Named after Riki’s favorite food growing up, the mochiko chicken that his grandmother made, Mochiko Cville serves truly authentic Hawaiian food. Mochiko also caters and can often be found as a pop-up eatery around town and at City Market on Saturdays. Mochiko are happy to offer 10% off for festival attendees during the weekend of the festival.

Red Pump Kitchen

Red Pump Kitchen is located right on the downtown mall of Charlottesville, and it boasts a relaxed dining experience with perfected recipes. Red Pump has an open kitchen, a wood-burning oven, and from early spring until late fall the building’s facade opens up and creates a nice indoor-outdoor dining space. All of these unique aesthetic bonuses create a romantic and festive atmosphere that is reminiscent to European cafés. The food style is “contemporary American with a Tuscan twist” and their trained mixologists offer suggested menu pairings from the curated wine and specialty drinks list. Sultan Kebab

Sultan Kebab offers unique, authentic Turkish Cuisine in the heart of Charlottesville. With two owners Gokhan Dikmen and Serhat Peker both being from Turkey, Sultan Kebab’s food options are direct recipes from their Turkish families and their studies of the culture. Turkish Cuisine was at its finest during the Ottoman Dynasty, and the Ottomans placed high standards on quality and freshness of produce and preparation. Dikmen and Peker aim to maintain these same high standards at their restaurant in Charlottesville.
